To: My Boyfriend’s Best Friend
From: His Girlfriend
Hi. Do you still remember me? I’m the girl he introduced to
you when the both of us ran into each other at the mall. We shook hands
awkwardly knowing that we are so close to the same person, yet we knew nothing
of each other yet. 5 minutes later, we were bullying him together.
After you shared his series of embarrassing stories, he put
his arms around me, saying “my beautiful girlfriend” repeatedly, showing to you
how much I meant to him. God, I love him so much sometimes. Then you pouted, in
which we all burst into laughter.
10 minutes into the conversation, we got so carried away
with the teasing I think he almost cried. I still remember how your beautiful eyes squinted when you laughed, and the "sorry-not-sorry" expression on your aesthetically pleasing face. I wasn't worried that he'll snap out at us, though, because I know one thing, even if we went
too far, he couldn’t possibly hate the both of us. We were, in fact, his two
favorite people in this world (aside from his own mother, of course).
I had a feeling, but as always, I ignored it. Like that time
when my boyfriend was trying to be “practical” and only brought one backpack
for a 3 day trip. I had a feeling that he would forget something. Well, he did
forget his camera. We end up taking all the pictures with my phone.
You’re the one that meets him 5 days a week, right? If I
needed to know anything about him I could easily ask you. Well, I guess I’m
gonna start asking now. How has he been? Is he well? Has he been coming to
school? Cause for the past month he hasn’t answer any of my calls, and was
never home when I visited.
Is my love sad? Is he lonely? Does he need me? Answer when
you have the time, okay?
Oh, and who gave you that flowers you posted on Instagram
last week? The handwriting on the card seems a bit familiar. And, that selfie
of the two of you–yes, the one you posted on Path–when was that taken? Was it
before or after he had disappeared from me?
I know he is a practical person, and a best-friend/lover in
one person sounds practical to me.
But he would never do that, right?
Right?
